GDF Equipment Ltd. is owned and operated by Gary Fullerton, who has been in the heavy equipment business since 1969. The company was started in 1992, when Gary decided to strike out on his own after acting as a salesman, sales manager and branch manager for several equipment distributors. During these years, he has represented many different manufacturers, stood two years as President of the Canadian Association of Equipment Distributors, and belonged to various logging and construction associations. All of these activities helped to prepare the company to supply the following products and services.
Heavy Equipment Sales
- We will sell your surplus equipment! Let us do all the sales work, while you carry on with your business. We will prepare all the information, take photos, advertise in trade journals and the Internet, deal with the purchaser, collect and distribute funds, handle all the paperwork, including export documents; you can choose to continue working the machine, travel on a holiday, and not have the inconvenience of fielding phone calls and showing the equipment.
- We will also purchase specific equipment for you! Give us the specs and your budget, and we will find it for you. Our almost 40 years in the heavy equipment business gives us a wide network of sources for that item you want. Inspection, paperwork, including import documents, transportation, financing, and fund distribution will all be handled for you. References from previously satisfied customers will be supplied as requested.
- New and used attachments for logging and construction equipment can be supplied. We have long standing relationships with many attachment manufacturers and suppliers.
- Heavy equipment components and undercarriage have been supplied for many years. Let us source it and quote it!
Appraisals
- Complete fleet appraisals or individual evaluations for insurance, banking, or legal purposes are welcome. We will give you a written report of the assets, current market pricing, accompanied with photos as required.

Two IMAC FTL40 Log Grapples
These are off a 1998 Volvo L330c and a 2001 Volvo L330D. They are tree length, Western Canadian style log grapples, and are also sized for Cat 990 and a Komatsu WA700 wheel loaders. Weight is 14,200#, and dimensions are 137" long X 132" wide X 120" high. These grapples have a single top clamp with curved nose piece, and are designed for logs to roll in to the grapple and build a compact and high volume load.
